Other data types that are not Load File, UFDR, or Slack Data can be sent to CloudNine via CloudNine Discovery Portal.
Use CloudNine Discovery Portal to transfer other data files received for processing and uploading to CloudNine Analyst.
Step 1: CloudNine Discovery Portal Welcome Screen
The Welcome (Home) screen is where you select the CloudNine Discovery Portal Workflow you wish to use.
- Launch CloudNine Discovery Portal. You will be on the Welcome (home) screen.
- Under Select Data From, choose File System (e.g. File Share, Hard Drive, Forensic Images, etc).
- Choose CloudNine Analyst from Review Data Using.
- Click Connect.
- You are prompted to Login to CloudNine Analyst. Enter your Username, Password, and CloudNine Analyst Site Domain. Then click OK.
- Choose the Duo authentication method you established in CloudNine Analyst.
- Once authenticated, the What kind of data are you uploading popup appears. Select Other Data types not listed en click OK.
Step 2: Select CloudNine Analyst Project and Evidence Container
The next step is to select the CloudNine Analyst Client, Project, and Evidence Container you wish to load the data.
Overview
Select CloudNine Analyst Project
- Client: If you have more than one client, use the drop-down to select an existing Client.
- Search Projects...: When you have multiple projects, you can use this option to quickly search for the project. Searches are fuzzy and begin returning results immediately.
- + Create Client / Project: When you click the + a drop-down becomes available. Here you can choose to Create Client or Create Project to create a new Client, Project, or both. New Clients and Projects are temporary and are not created in CloudNine Analyst until the data is received by CloudNine.
- Project List: List of Projects you have access to in CloudNine Analyst.
- Selected: Indicates the project chosen to load data to.
Select CloudNine Analyst Container - Search Containers: Search for evidence containers in a project.
- Create Evidence Container: Use to create a new evidence container for CloudNine Analyst. Note: You will not see the evidence container until data is received by CloudNine Analyst.
- Evidence Container: Lists all existing evidence containers for the selected project.
- Selected: Indicates which evidence container is selected to import into.
- Next: Once the Project and Evidence Container are selected, the Next button becomes available and will advance you to the Select Data for Upload screen.
Select Client, Project, and Evidence Container
- Select the Client from the drop-down list.
- Projects for the selected client appear in the Project List.
- Select the Project you wish to upload the data to.
- Evidence Containers for the project are listed. Select or Create the Evidence Container.
- You have selected the Client, Project, and Evidence Container. Click Next to advance to Step 3: SelectData for Upload.
Step 3: Select Data for Upload
On the Select Data for Upload screen, you will want to Drag/Drop or Browse to select the load file and any attachments associated with the data in the load file.
- Use the Drag files & folders here to add files method or click Browse... to Add files... or Add folder... and navigate to the data files and attachments you wish to load.
- Once selected, each file is listed individually. Hover over the listing to see the full path to the file and filename. To remove a file, use the trash can icon. After selecting all files and folders Once you have finished selecting the data, click Next to advance to the Confirm & Upload screen.
Step 4: Confirm & Upload
The Confirm & Upload screen provides a summary of your upload and is your final chance to review where you are Uploading From and Uploading To.
- Verify the number of files from Uploading From and where you are Uploading To. Add any Notes & Comments about the data. When you are satisfied, click Start Upload to begin uploading the data to CloudNine Servers.
