Searching Operators

Operators

  • Equal To: Searches for an exact match. For example, “Contract date”
  • Not Equal To: Shows results that do not have the value that you entered.
  • Greater Than: Shows results where the value is greater than what you entered.
  • Greater Than or Equal To:  Shows results where the value is greater than or equal to what you entered.
  • Less Than: Shows results where the value is greater than what you entered.
  • Less Than or Equal To: Shows results where the value is less than or equal to what you entered.
  • Contains: Searches for anything that contains your search criteria.
  • Does Not Contain: Eliminates results that do not contain the value you enter.
  • Is Empty: Searches for records where the field you selected is empty.
  • Is Not Empty: Searches for records where the field you selected is not empty and contains any value.
  • Starts With: Searches for the start of the value you are looking for. Great if you know what your value starts with. For example, if you enter “Texas” you will find search hits such as “Texas Post Office”, “Texas Commission” etc.
  • Ends With: Searches for the end of the value you are looking for. For example, if you enter “Agency” it will retrieve search hits such as “Texas Agency”, “Government Agency”, etc.
  • Is True: Searches for values that are TRUE
  • Is False: Searches for values that FALSE
