CloudNine Review: How do I delete/remove redactions applied to a document?

Deleting PII Redactions, Search Term Hit Redactions, Redactions, or Annotations

The Bulk Redaction tool allows you to batch redact personal identifiable information (PII) data and/or search term hit highlights. If you need to delete redactions and/or annotations on a document, you can either delete a redaction individually or remove all redactions from the selected document.

On the Image tab, Image tools are at the top-right corner. Click Image Tools to expand the Image Toolbar.

Under Redaction/Annotation, you will see one of two deletion options: 

RedactEraser Deleted selected (del): The eraser icon is displayed when a redaction or markup is selected for editing. Only the chosen redaction/markup is deleted.  

TrashcanDelete  Delete options: The trash can icon appears in the toolbar when a redaction or markup is not selected. The Delete Options window allows you to choose the type of markups to delete from the document. Choices include Delete All, All Redactions, All Annotations,  PII Redaction,  or Search Redactions for the 

Delete a Selected Redaction or Annotation

  1. In CloudNine Review, on the document record, select the redaction you wish to delete or edit. 
  2. At the top right corner of the image tab, click Image Tools to expand the Image Tools toolbar.

  3. Under Redaction/Annotation, click the eraser RedactEraser icon or press the delete key. The selected redaction is removed. 

Delete All Redaction/Annotation on a Document

To remove all redactions and/or annotations from a document image:

  1. Select the document. 
  2. Expand the Image Tools toolbar. Under Redaction/Annotation, click the trash can TrashcanDelete.
  3. The Delete Options window opens. Here, you will choose the type of markup(s) you wish to delete. Options include: 
    1. Delete All: Removes all redactions and annotations from the document image. 
    2. All Redactions: Removes all redactions from the document image. 
    3. All Annotations: Removes all annotations applied to the document image.
    4. PII Redactions: Removes PII redactions applied to the document image using the bulk redaction tool. 
    5. Search Redaction: Removes Search Term Hit redactions applied to the document image using the bulk redaction tool.

  4. After selecting the desired Delete Options, click Continue. A Delete Options confirmation window opens. Choose Confirm to proceed with the deletion, or Cancel

A Deleting Annotations/Redactions... message appears. When the deletion completes, the message disappears. 

Redactions and/or Annotations are removed from the selected document image, based on the  Delete Option chosen. 

Field Updates:  When Redactions and/or Annotations are deleted, the C9Redaction and C9Annotations tags are reset to no.  If PII Redactions are deleted, the C9 PII Redaction type is updated if all redactions are removed for that type.
