CloudNine Review: Can I Customize Placeholders (Slip Sheets) in CloudNine Review?

Create Custom Placeholders in CloudNine Review

When generating image versions of your documents, it is a common practice to placeholder (slip sheet) certain supported file types, such as Excel, unsupported file types, and files that error during the imaging process. CloudNine Review offers some customization for slip sheets when you use the Image On The Fly -> Image Current Search option. 

To use the Image On The Fly tools you must be an Admin of the CloudNine Review Project.

This article focuses on placeholder options only,  the How do I Image Documents provides more information on imaging in CloudNine Review. 

Custom Placeholder Options

In your CloudNine Review project, select Tools -> Image On The Fly

There are two options: Image Current Document and Image Current Search. Select Image Current Search to open the Image On The Fly Confirmation screen and see available Placeholder Options

Custom Comments: Selected, a text box appears. Enter the text (up to 200 characters) you would like on the slip sheet—for example, File Produced Natively or Non Responsive. 

Provide file name on Slip Sheet (default): Enabled, this will print the file name found in the OriginalFileName field on the placeholder. 

Remove file name from Slip Sheet: Selected, the file name is not printed on the placeholder. 

Notes About Placeholders

  • Custom Comments are not saved.  
    • 💡If you want to track in the database, create a field (ie Placeholder Comment) and use Group Tag Documents to update the documents quickly. 
  • Image On The Fly Confirmation settings are restored to defaults after each request. 
  • Only one custom comment can be used per image request. 
    • 💡Use Filter, Search, and Tag options to identify records you wish to slip sheet with a specific comment, then image in batches based on the comments.
